So…

So I haven’t updated the blog in a while, of which The Austin was kind enough to remind me. So I guess I’ll take this time to update it (no drawings though, it’s late at night and I don’t have the mental acuity). So over the past week I’ve done little of note. I worked on Friday and Saturday, and I took my senior pictures Saturday afternoon. I stayed over at Jacob’s house late on Friday, and had some Wapaghetti’s pizza which was good. Then we had a movie marathon; we watched 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People (which, coincidentally, wasn’t funny, and it left both Jacob and myself scratching our heads in confusion as to why such a film would be produced in the first place), and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. After the movies were done playing, I played a bit of Uno on Jacob’s Xbox 360 as he tried to go to sleep, but I eventually got bored of that and played a few other trial games before turning off the console and the TV. I stayed up another two whole hours in the darkness, playing little apps on my iPhone for the first half an hour, and then sitting alone in darkness for the next hour and a half. Being alone in the dark with nothing much to do isn’t terribly exciting. Eventually (at 6:30), I fell asleep, to be woken up five hours later to a frickin’ drum solo, which Jacob determined was the absolute best way to wake me. Other than that, my brother and I downloaded some new Halo 3 maps so we can play a cool online version of Halo called “Action Sack,” and I’ve been playing that at night for the past two days. I can’t really think of anything else new about which to talk. I’ve mostly been on the internet and watching television. I’m extremely bored with the hurricane season right now, because there’s a lull in action…but hopefully it’ll pick up soon and I’ll have more exciting internet prowling to do. Also, the weather here has been boring. I’d just like to get that out there. Most people like to cease typing/talking when they are rambling, so I guess I’ll do that too. Just kidding. I’ll ramble all day and night. Ramble ramble ramble. Funny word, ramble. RAM-bull. ram-BULL. It’s weird that second way. Well, now that I’ve fully and completely run out of subjects about which to talk, I’ll completely change my mind and begin talking about a new subject, y’know, to keep you guys on your toes. I’ve been trying recently to learn a lot about grammar and linguistics and language-related things. You may or may not have noticed anything strange about the post today, other than it’s length. I’ve been actively removing prepositions from the ends of my sentences, in hopes of sounding more professional when I speak. I usually don’t do this on the internet, but once in a while I guess that it’s a good idea, just for practice. Speaking of talking on the internet, which I continue to do, I’ve noticed that a great majority of people are extremely different online in comparison to their real-life speech. I really realized this the other day when I recieved a Facebook message from someone I expected to use next-to-perfect grammar; instead, the message was very informal and pleasantly surprising. I guess that this’ll just influence more debate over whether or not the entire communication system of society is in danger, since we do tend to be different online, protected by the safety of the little box we call a computer. All right (I usually say alright, but it’s technically improper), I’m going to stop forcing you to read all of these words, as I know that everyone has busy lives to get to. I’d just like to point out that this post is FAR longer than most of the things that I’ve ever had to write for school, and it’s been a breeze.
